The Israeli onslaught on Gaza has revived a sense of belonging to the Muslim Ummah among France’s younger Muslim generations, who channeled their feelings into massive peaceful rallies to support the people of bombed-out Gaza.

“Gaza has taught us what it is like to belong to the Arab and Muslim Ummah,” Adel Al-Muderi, a Muslim activist from the “Youth and Suburbs” coalition in Paris, told IslamOnline.net.

Over the past two weeks, thousands of Muslim and Arab-origin youth took to the streets nationwide to protest the Israeli onslaught, which has so far killed 880 people and wounded more than 3,700 others.

Just on Saturday, some 123,000 protesters marched through Paris and other cities to denounce the offensive and express solidarity with the 1.6 million people of the bombed-out costal enclave.   »»» IslamOnline.net
