Muslim women not required to fully cover their bodies says Saudi religious figure

A senior figure in the Saudi Arabia religious establishment has said women do not need to full cover themselves.

Al Arabiya reported that the Saudi religious police commander has criticised the kingdom for its rules on gender mixing, saying women are not required to veil their faces.

Speaking to a large audience, consisting of males and females, Sheikh Ahmed al-Ghamdi, head of the Mecca branch of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, also said there was nothing in Islam to prevent women from driving, despite a Saudi ban on the practice.    »»» Macau News
