Christian bishop in Iraq wishes peace for Ramadan

Louis Sako“On behalf of all the Christians of Kirkuk, I send you, my beloved Muslim brothers and sisters, my most heart-felt congratulations and best wishes for the beginning of the blessed month of the Ramadan”, reads a message sent yesterday by the Archbishop of Kirkuk, Monsignor Louis Sako, to the Islamic leaders of his city to wish well to the “Muslim brothers” at the beginning of the month of the Ramadan and to invoke “peace on the Iraqi nation”.

The prelate then makes a call to Christians: “At the same time, during this special month, we invite our Christian devotees to join their Muslim brothers, so that God will ensure peace and stability to all of us. We invite the Christians to also respect the religious feelings of the Muslims and their fasting during the Ramadan by not eating in public and dressing properly. May God the Almighty bless us all, each other’s brothers and sisters”.   »»» Spero News
